Dear Ann Landers,
lease educate a lot of kids who have the wrong idea. Just because my dad works in a bank everyone expects me to be rich. The kids seem to think that people who work in banks can help themselves to money, just like people who work in a fruit market can pinch off a few grapes or eat an apple whenever they feel like it. Yesterday I was at a scout meeting and we were short $5.70 for the picnic budget. One of the kids said, "Mel can get the money from his dad's bank." So please, Ann Landers, tell everybody that bank employees get a paycheck like schoolteachers and truck drivers, and sometimes the check isn't very big. The money in the bank belongs to the depositors, and it had better not be missing. Thank you.-Mel

Dear Mel,
Here's your letter and I think you told 'em better than I could. In case the kids don't know it maybe we'd better mention the bank examiners who come around every so often and check the books and count the money. If things don't add up right, somebody could go to jail.

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, whatever they needed I provided. What really hurt my son and I the most was the obituary - we were not mentioned at all. Our friends (mine and hers) were appalled. I was embarrassed and upset for not just me, but for my son-who loved her also. I never been so upset. Her x-husband put his wife and kids and their grandchildren in the obituary, who my girlfriend barely knew. They live an hour away from us. I know its silly to be mad over a little section of the newspaper, but it still hurts. Will time let this devastating loss of her and this article ever go away? I am so angry at this whole situation, its not like we can go and rewrite an obituary notice.
