Dear Ann Landers,
30 a.m. and said, "Your son left for High Point this morning and didn't leave Marcella any money. He won't be back until tomorrow and the poor girl hasn't got a dime. I'll have to take some money over to her right away." Last week she called to tell me my son gave Marcella only one hour's notice and brought three business friends home for cocktails. Marcella didn't have any soda or lemons in the house. The place was a mess, and she didn't even have time to comb her hair. Marcella happens to be a lazy, disorganized slob. I don't want to become in-volved in their troubles, and I don't want Mrs. Pain-in-the- Neck to tell me what goes on between them. What do you recommend?-H.J.K.

Dear H.J.K.,
The next time Mrs. Pain-in-the-Neck calls say this: "It breaks my heart that a fine, lovely girl like Marcella married a worthless, no-good bum like my son. She could have done much better, and I'm sorry she didn't. Please don't tell me any more sad stories about those two because it spoils my whole day."

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, whatever they needed I provided. What really hurt my son and I the most was the obituary - we were not mentioned at all. Our friends (mine and hers) were appalled. I was embarrassed and upset for not just me, but for my son-who loved her also. I never been so upset. Her x-husband put his wife and kids and their grandchildren in the obituary, who my girlfriend barely knew. They live an hour away from us. I know its silly to be mad over a little section of the newspaper, but it still hurts. Will time let this devastating loss of her and this article ever go away? I am so angry at this whole situation, its not like we can go and rewrite an obituary notice.
