Dear Ann Landers,
ou have printed several letters from older peo-ple who say they enjoy sex, but not as frequently as they did in their younger years. I am pleased to tell you that such is not the case with me. My wife died a few years ago. I was 67. Several months later, I met an extremely intelligent divorcee with a fantastic figure. We are very close to the same age. I courted her for several months, and we became lovers. On New Year's Eve, 1982, one of us suggested we put a dollar in an envelope each time we became intimate. We agreed to spend the money in 1983 on something foolishly extravagant. (On January 5, there was already $3 in the envelope.) On New Year's Eve, 1983, the envelope contained $174. My partner accused me of shorting the envelope by at least $30. I considered the 7 II I ANN LANIIFIIS accusation a compliment, gave her the entire amount and told her to treat herself to something ridiculous. What does this do to your statis-tics, Annie old girl? -Zippy in Sacramento

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, my boyfriend died of AIDS. I took the test, and my results were nega-tive. I know I have to take the test again in six months. My question to you is this: If I test negative for one year, is there any chance of testing positive 5 or 10 years down the road? The counselor advised me that the test was accurate and if I tested negative after a year, it would mean that I didn’t catch the virus from my boyfriend. However, I have been told by others that the virus can hide in your system and you will not test positive for years. That means I must take the test every year for the rest of my life. Please consult your experts so I can know the truth and stop tortur-ing myself about this. -Confused in N.Y.
