Dear Ann Landers,
ow does a person know if he is depressed? I realize it isn't possible to be happy all the time, yet I fear my bout with "the blahs" or "the blues" is more intense than what the average per-son experiences. Please describe the symptoms of depression so I can have a better understanding of what goes on with me. I feel isolated and inadequate.

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, a lovely home, no debts and approximately $1 million in assets. Sound good? Well, we also have no hohbies. We havent had a vacation in years except for a couple of weekends when we visited our children and their families.

I was a professional woman and worked both inside and outside the home. We are both in our 70s. When does the fun start?
