Dear Ann Landers,
ight of us girls get together every two weeks to play cards. One of the girls who has been married three years announced in April she was expecting a baby on October 12. Well, on August 18 she gave birth. Her child weighed nine pounds and eight ounces and had a full head of hair. She made a point of explaining that the baby was prema-ture. Please tell us how in the world a premature baby can weigh more than most nine-month babies? When we told her she must have miscalculated the date of birth, she stubbornly insisted that she did no such thing. Since this woman is so obstinate we decided to ask you to check out the facts and settle the argument.-Seven Disbelievers

Dear Seven,
What baffles me is not the size of the child, but the size of your interest. You girls need something to do in your spare time. The Salvation Army needs volunteers.

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, whatever they needed I provided. What really hurt my son and I the most was the obituary - we were not mentioned at all. Our friends (mine and hers) were appalled. I was embarrassed and upset for not just me, but for my son-who loved her also. I never been so upset. Her x-husband put his wife and kids and their grandchildren in the obituary, who my girlfriend barely knew. They live an hour away from us. I know its silly to be mad over a little section of the newspaper, but it still hurts. Will time let this devastating loss of her and this article ever go away? I am so angry at this whole situation, its not like we can go and rewrite an obituary notice.

Tell us what you think?
