Dear Ann Landers,
ou are all wet about wife-spanking. I've been spanking my wife for 10 years and I'm no bully. I adore the little woman and would never strike her in the face, or cheat on her the way some so-called wonderful husbands cheat on their wives. The Best iii Ann Laniieiiis Women are not as smart as men and they need guidance. A female who is left to her own devices has a tendency to develop some mighty undesirable traits. A good hard spanking when she needs it is the most effective method of correcting small faults before they turn into seri-ous ones. I know couples who argue for hours and nothing is ever settled. Long, drawn-out verbal batdes can be nerve-wracking and time-consuming. Nothing clears the air like turning a wife over your knee and giving her a good sound paddling. If more men tried it there would be fewer di-vorces in this country.

Dear Boss,
If more men tried it there would be fewer men in this country. Not all women are lame-brained, lily-livered jellyfish like the pitiful creature you married. Just where does spanking end and beating begin? And who is to de-cide if she "needs it"? A husband who would spank his wife places her in the category of a child. A wife who would tolerate such indignity ad-mits she's an adolescent who longs to be punished by "Papa" (poor thing). Such a woman should never have married. She should have stayed at home and played with her dolls. Here and there you'll find a wife who won't stand for the 3-year-old child treatment. The husband who attempts to "guide" her with a pad-dle may get a little guidance himself-in the form of a healthy klop in the chops.

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, whatever they needed I provided. What really hurt my son and I the most was the obituary - we were not mentioned at all. Our friends (mine and hers) were appalled. I was embarrassed and upset for not just me, but for my son-who loved her also. I never been so upset. Her x-husband put his wife and kids and their grandchildren in the obituary, who my girlfriend barely knew. They live an hour away from us. I know its silly to be mad over a little section of the newspaper, but it still hurts. Will time let this devastating loss of her and this article ever go away? I am so angry at this whole situation, its not like we can go and rewrite an obituary notice.

Tell us what you think?
