Dear Ann Landers,
had to write when I read about the woman whose lunatic husband wants to give his 4-year-old daughter up for adop-tion because she is hyperactive. I am the mother of a 5-year-old hy-peractive child. He used to bite, punch, kick, spit, have violent temper tan-trums, and couldn't play with other children. We took the boy to several doctors before one suggested our state university medical center for evalua-tion. He was placed in a daily thera-peutic program and the results have been fantastic. He is a different child. I am grateful for all the help our son received there but I feel that most of the change was accomplished by love.

Our Reader to Reader Question of the Week:

Dear Readers,
, bright, kind, sensitive, talented, generous and funny. He died in an accident that didn’t have to happen. His car was hit head-on by a drunken driver. I have read everything I could lay my hands on, searching for solace and asking the same question: “Why, why, why?” John was only 21 and had so much to give. Maybe there are no answers, but I would appre-ciate any word of comfort that you might be able to offer. Please try. Thank you.
