Dear Ann Landers, Eight of us girls get together every two weeks to play cards. One of the girls who has been married three years announced in April she was expecting a baby on October 12. Well, on August 18 she gave birth. Her child 61 weighed nine pounds and eight ounces and had a full head of hair. She made a point of explaining that the baby was prema-ture. Please tell us how in the world a premature baby can weigh more than most nine-month babies? When we told her she must have miscalculated the date of birth, she stubbornly insisted that she did no such thing. Since this woman is so obstinate we decided to ask you to check out the facts and settle the argument.-Seven Disbelievers
Dear Seven,
What baffles me is not the size of the child, but the size of your interest. You girls need something to do in your spare time. The Salvation Army needs volunteers.
