Dear Ann Landers, You performed a great service when you published that letter from "Bill in Illinois." He pointed out that stroke victims often behave inappropriately -- laughing when they are sad and crying when they are happy.
I, too, suffered a stroke, and despite much therapy, I still cannot speak clearly. And, like Bill, my emotions manifest themselves in unusual ways. I've showed your column with Bill's letter to my therapist. He said you really do a splendid job of educating the world. -- Dick in Kentucky
Dear Dick,
I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity. Thank you for the warm compliment.
